The ONE Church is an Old-Fashioned, Holy Ghost empowered, Spirit-Filled, Full Gospel church with a progressive and unique perspective regarding both the grace of God and His people. We embrace ALL sincere seekers of truth to worship, work, and grow with us in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, without fear, prejudice, or condemnation. We are a multi-racial, non-denominational, welcoming, and affirming ministry. In the tradition then of Old-Time religion, The ONE Church will be conducting an "Old Fashioned Gospel Singin" each FIRST SUNDAY of every month. This is an opportunity for fellowship and worship as folks from various churches and backgrounds come together to worship the Lord Jesus Christ through music and song. Sing-Ins are a long standing southern tradition, and are generally very uplifting, inspirational, and empowering. Anyone wishing to participate may do so. All we ask is that you have a sincere desire to glorify the Lord and not merely to perform. In the tradition of "Old Fashioned Gospel Sing-Ins," we will start at 3pm and close the meeting when the last song is sung! This is not a Karaoke event. Please read the participation conditions articulated below.
Singers; soloists, groups, musicians, choirs, quartets, etc, etc, are invited to participate in our monthly Singin'. Individuals and groups from any Christian denomination or affiliation are invited to fellowship and worship with us through song. Our church is a Spirit-Filled church, so we will be worshipping in the liberty of God's Spirit, so folks may shout and get happy!
Come on out to sing, or just come to worship and enjoy Gospel music at it's heart-felt best!
PARTICIPATION:
* Any sincere, talented (at whatever skill or ability level) individuals wishing to participate may do so, without regard to age, race, gender, skin color, church affiliation, life experience, background, etc... Folks of various talent and skill levels may participate in these events and we will extend every courtesy to them as the primary purpose of these events is to worship and magnify the Lord Jesus Christ, and not merely to entertain. (Please sign in upon arriving with the coordinator If you have brought musical accompaniment, please let him/her know which track or song number[s] you plan to sing.)
* The number of songs or amount of participation will be determined by how many singers will participate. EVERYONE desiring to contribute will be permitted to present at least one song/number. Some may be asked to do more than one, depending upon the number of participants, at the discretion of the host and based upon the response of the audience.
* Sound equipment (amplification) is available for anyone wishing to use CD or cassette Tape soundtracks.
* Musicians wishing to perform with live music will have to provide their own instruments, unless another has already set up equipment that they are willing to allow you to use.
* The ONE Church celebrates diversity within God's church, so we welcome participants from every hue of the human experience and all Christian church affiliations. For these events we welcome all types of Gospel music styles; Southern Gospel, Contemporary, Praise & Worship, Black Gospel, Harmony, accapela, etc... (However, in keeping with our "Old-Fashioned" theme, Rap, Dance, or Techno styled numbers will not be included in these specific events.)
